WHO to tax your internet usage to fund vaccines in third-world countries
Consider it a reverse Robin Hood ploy: They're stealing from the working class and giving to the ultra wealthy drug companies!
Of course this isn't the first time the UN has petitioned governments around the world to illegally tax citizens in order to further its own agenda. This body of unelected officials tried to push "cap and trade" legislation for supposed climate change just last year (but failed to do so because many countries simply refused the idea).
In the current scheme, WHO appointed a so-called panel of "medical experts" to prepare a report highlighting various financing ideas that would fund all the projects WHO is trying to accomplish in the world. One of those ideas is to have governments tax internet usage in their countries and give the money to WHO for "medical research and development" in poorer, developing countries. (This is code-speak for unlawfully pouring billions of taxpayer dollars into the coffers of Big Pharma in the name of charity).

EU directive behind England flag ban?
After those ‘silly rumours’ of state agencies banning the flag during the coming World Cup, stories are emerging of state agencies banning the flag during the coming World Cup. Granted, the difference is private and public enterprises, but still.
- England flag ban for taxi drivers in Canterbury
- Banned from flying the flag: Binmen threatened with sack if they show support for England during World Cup
My Spidey senses tell me there is more to this than meets the eye, we (hopefully) all know of the EU’s hatred for anything that reinforces/ celebrates national sovereignty/ private property. In case you didn’t know, here is an article from 2008 by the Telegraph.
On St George's Day, EU wipes England off map.
The new European plan splits England into three zones that are joined with areas in other countries.
The "Manche" region covers part of southern England and northern France while the Atlantic region includes western parts of England, Portugal, Spain and Wales.
The North Sea region includes eastern England, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and parts of Germany.
A copy of the map, which makes no reference to England or Britain, has even renamed the English Channel the "Channel Sea".
Each zone will have a "transnational regional assembly", although they will not have extensive powers. However, the zones are regarded as symbolically important by other countries.
German ministers claimed that the plan was about "underlying the goal of a united Europe" to "permanently overcome old borders" at a time when the "Constitution for Europe needs to regain momentum".
No Fourth Reich there then?
A bit of digging finds a previous enforced ban on national flags on car number plates.
However, it will be legal to carry the European Union symbol of 12 yellow stars on a blue background. A coalition of Tory, Liberal Democrat and nationalist MPs failed to block the proposed law, which is intended to implement an EU directive to harmonise number plate design in the interests of "clarity and safety".
The Road Vehicle 'Display of Registration Marks' Regulations 2001 mean that it will only be legal to carry on the registration plate the letters GB alongside the Euro symbol. It will not be lawful to have a depiction of the Union Flag, the Scottish saltire, the cross of St George or the Welsh dragon.
That particular regulation (Statutory Instrument) can be found here. After a glance, it looks like the rule for this can be found in Part 4 Misc., (2) (a).
Under the Explanatory Note (why am I reading this, it’s a nice day) it alludes to the EU Directive.
(g) The making of provision for the display of the international distinguishing sign of the United Kingdom adjacent to the registration mark in accordance with Council Regulation (EC) No. 2411/98 (a copy of which can be obtained from the Stationery Office). (See regulation 16.)
So here it is.
This does two things.
First, it commands member states to refuse to recognise national flags;
(3) Whereas the Community is not a contracting party to the convention and whereas some of its Member States which are parties to it have recourse to the provisions of Article 37 of the Convention; whereas those Member States thus require vehicles from other Member States to display the distinguishing sign provided for by Annex 3 to the Convention; whereas some of those Member States do not recognise other distinguishing signs such as those displayed on registration plates which, while indicating the Member State in which the vehicle is registered, do not conform to Annex 3 to the Convention;
Annex 3 describes the EU flag by the way.
Second thing it does, is command member states to use the Annex 3 specs for registration.
(4) Whereas several Member States have introduced a model registration plate which, on the extreme left, displays a blue zone containing the 12 yellow stars representing the European flag plus the distinguishing sign of the Member State of registration; whereas for the purpose of intra-Community transport this distinguishing sign meets the objective of identifying the State of registration as provided for in Article 37 of the Convention;
What does this have to do with the current bans on the England flag? I don’t know yet, I’m still researching. In Canterbury, the cabbies believe the ban is to protect the ‘feelings of minorities’. This wouldn’t surprise me either to be honest, either way, I think it’s pathetic. If I find more info on this I’ll update this post (I still have a few avenues to research) but until then, I’m going to blow my brains out after boring myself to death.
Have a nice weekend.

Draw Mohammed Day is TOMORROW!
As you know, it is essentially based on a reaction to people who believe they are so superior and perfect to the rest of us, that their beliefs (not facts) should be protected from analysis and critisism, forever. Hence their eternal outrage at things 'offending Islam'.
This is something of a boggle, seeing as Islam isn't a person that can be offended, but merely an ideology. I guess it's okay for Muslims to depict non-Muslim faiths and beliefs as pigs, demons and the like, so long as it's one way. Like I said, they believe they are superior. You have no 'right' to draw a picture of their so called 'prophet', even if this person actually received his 'revelations' not from God, but from a Demon.
No matter. What is important is that you FOLLOW ISLAMIC RULES and do not do what millions in the West will be doing tomorrow. Depicting this warmongering, paedophile fuck face.
It is going to 'offend' Muslims. Well who gives a fuck. I'm more offended by Muslims actually going out and KILLING PEOPLE.
By the way, now is a good time to post this excellent video, a speech by Bat Ye'or, a scholor of Islam.
Remember. Whether you want it or not. This is war. 'Islam' believes that the world was always Islamic, and the 15,000 acts of violence since 9/11 in the name of Islam are merely good Muslims trying to bring the world back to where it belongs.
Well I say fuck that.
In the West, everyone and everything is open to criticism. It's the basis for separating fact from fiction. If Muslims want to threaten lives on this issue, then they are merely seeking to impose islamic rule on non-muslims, as part of their holy war.
Tomorrow I'll have a pic up. You can count on it.

Chief Climate-Scam Salesman 'we're talking shit, and WHAT bitches!'
Dr Rajendra Pachauri, the chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), has been under fire since a report from the charity the WWF was used to make claims about reductions in ice on mountains.
In particular it included the erroneous claim that the Himalayan glaciers would melt by 2035. It was said to be 300 years out and led to accusations that the organisation was cherry-picking evidence to justify its claims.
Comes as no surprise to those who haven't forgotten the 'we need to do whatever it takes to scare people into believing us' quotes from the IPCC.
In a hearing at the InterAcademy Council, an organisation of the world's science academies which is conducting an independent review of the processes and procedures of the IPCC, Dr Pachauri described the inclusion of the glacier claim as "human failure" which should not have happened.
What is he saying, that humans can fuck things up! Like build dodgy computer models and cook books! Amazing, never knew that.
But the IPCC's chairman said there was a need to use information which was not from peer-reviewed scientific journals, because in some places that was the only research that had been done.
He said the media and other sections of society had misunderstood the role of such information, labelling it grey literature, "as if it was some form of grey muddied water flowing down the drains".
Well, I'm no scientist, but if data cannot be checked for objectivity, integrity, transparency etc, then it hardly qualifies as conclusive does it? I thought that was the whole point of the Scientific Method.
This 'man-evil-killing-gaia' scam has trillions of potential dollars (and the world's private property) attached to it. How's that for motive for talking shit.

Consent must be given, it is never assumed
So there I was, thinking about the logic of the title statement. If a door to a house is open, does that mean you have consent to enter it? If a car boot is open, does that automatically mean you can help yourself to whatever is in it?
Of course not. This is one of the foundational pillars of a private property based society (i.e, a free society). Consent must be given. Now it should come as no surprise that the ever growing state seems to think it is above this basic rule (although nobody gave them consent to it). This little fact on its own should convince any and everyone that a revolution is needed. In a democracy the consent of the majority can override that of the minority. The truth is, there is no majority or minority. These are collectivist conveniences. There are only individuals. Only in a totalitarian, Marxist-style system can anyone (or group) demand the stripping of private property from another. Perfect for the ‘abolish private property’ mantra of collectivist ideologies such as socialism, communism, feminism and environmentalism.
I am about to opt out of this NHS corporate data mining project, called Summary Care Records. I have to opt out, because apparently the state was already decided that I want to opt in. They didn’t ask me obviously. Just like they didn’t ask me about bailing out banks and charging me the bill (illegal), going to war in the Middle East (illegal) and so on.
Consent is important, so are ‘rights’. They, like sunlight from the sun, are consequences of ownership. Simply put, you only have rights (consent is one) over things you own (such as yourself). Things you don’t own you have no rights over.
Simple isn’t it.
I don’t have the legal right to give you consent to enter someone else’s home and start eating out their fridge, any more than I can’t give you consent to have sex with that girl over there.
This applies to absolutely everyone. No one is exempt. It is the Great Equaliser. Socialist constructs like The Human Rights Act are not only disruptive to this logic, it is illegal (I’ll deal with this in another post). We are all equal in our rights over our own property and equally powerless over anyone else’s. Society, (from the beggar all the way up to the government) is composed of individuals. ‘Government’ doesn’t exist as a real thing, it is a virtual object that describes a group of individuals, nothing more. As such, the government should have no rights to assume consent of your property (your medical data, your organs or whatever).
They can’t do this because they don’t own you, right? I mean, if they did then you would be a slave in every meaning of the word. If they owned you, they would be able take money directly out of your pay check before you even get it. They could fine you arbitrarily, stop you from gathering as free people and protesting, ignore you when you actively reject government proposals, sell your private data to corporations, shoot you in the head because you ‘don’t look right’, pass laws purely for the purpose of taking more of your money, call you all racists and bigots for asking questions about changes in your local area, they can even sign you up to legal contracts so foreigners can tell you how you live your life and charge you hundreds of billions while they do it and even give voting rights to people who aren’t British. They could take the currency you have to use as payment for the use of your property (body) for production (provision of goods and services) and deliberately devalue it. They could borrow money from private banks that charge interest and demand you pay it.
Wait a minute…

Demo for democracy Saturday, for real change!
Demo for democracy Saturday, for real change!
by Sunny HMay 6, 2010 at 2:38 pm
Although the outcome of the election is still uncertain, one thing’s for sure: our voting system will deliver an arbitrary and unfair outcome and we will have a parliament which does not reflect what people voted for.
It is therefore highly likely that lots of people, many of them young people who have become involved in politics for the first time, will be angry and disillusioned and looking for change.
We are organising, along the rest of the democracy movement (Unlock Democracy/Charter 88, Power2010, Vote for a Change, Avaaz, 38 degrees, Compass etc) a rally and protest for the afternoon of Saturday May 8th at 2pm in Trafalgar Square.
The unions, the green movement and other sectors are also involved so it has the potential to be a large mobilisation and with the viral power of the web could be even bigger.
Party activists (once they have recovered!) will also be showing out we hope. We are asking people to wear purple – the colour of the franchise.
If necessary, we’ll gather again outside Parliament on the 15th.
We will be gathering to demand reform, an end to the old politics and for this to be the last election under the broken first past the post system. We will call for a citizens convention to draw up a new voting system to be put to referendum and there will be a new website (not branded by any organisation) with a petition that calls people to the rally.
This must be the last election under our broken system.
No more wasted votes. No more stitch ups.

Call for Civil Disobedience - a worldwide strike by the oppressed
The blogosphere and meeting places have been alight with anger, outrage, frustration. And questions about how to defeat our tyrannical 'masters' that make our lives a living hell.
Gandhi found non-compliance to be an effective tool to defeat his masters. And he was just one man.Imagine what we could achieve, if we made a concerted effort, for a given number of days.
The fact is, the corporations want our money. The government needs our money. The 'mainstream' media are the mouthpieces of these monsters. And all of them are the cause of our misery.
If we starve them of it for a spell, how would that affect them? We've lost the ability to think for ourselves because we've been programmed not to. If we cease to tune into their propaganda and instead, explore the alternative media, we see a different picture from the one they want us to see. We think for ourselves and join up the dots.
We have been little short of terrorised by their scare stories, their unwarranted use of and threat of force, their fines, their toxic products, their lies - to do their dirty bidding. They enrich themselves at our expense. Every time.
The Greeks and the Icelanders have woken up and taken action. The tyranny we face is on a par with theirs, if not greater, and yet we do bugger all about it. Our MPs don't give a jot - they're not listening to us. They're listening to their party whips, as they eye that juicy job within their grasp if they ignore us. So they do.
So let's learn from the Greeks, the Icelanders, Gandhi - and make our 'strike' international. After all, the entire civilised world is facing tyranny simultaneously.
And as Old Holborn says, we outnumber them. They cannot afford non-compliance on such a massive scale. Success frequently starts from small beginnings, as American patriots will tell you. As Gandhi demonstrated.
Visit the original post on Fausty Writes for full info and updates. I’m going to do this. It is time WE actually started doing things as opposed to just writing about these globalist bastards.
It is to occur April 15-18.

Just a thought…
Today I saw this;
Scientists unravel greenfly DNA code... now they can get to work on wiping them out
Last night, an international team of scientists announced they had deciphered an aphid's genome, or entire cache of DNA for the first time.
Armed with the genetic blueprint, they can start to look for weak spots that can be targeted with new designer pesticides, the journal PLoS Biology reports.
I then immediately thought of this;
Project goals were to
- identify all the approximately 20,000-25,000 genes in human DNA,
- determine the sequences of the 3 billion chemical base pairs that make up human DNA,
- store this information in databases,
- improve tools for data analysis,
- transfer related technologies to the private sector, and
- address the ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) that may arise from the project.
I’m just being paranoid I’m sure, it isn’t like these ‘elites’ want to wipe out the worlds population or anything.

"Muslim needs should be priority in Britain" - Gov analyst
More than half the population believe Britain is deeply divided along religious lines, according to an official survey. That would be the Muslim section of the population I presume. I don't know anyone who feels positively about Islam. A long time ago, I confronted one of my Muslim friends when he was talking about 'killing all the Jews'. We were children at the time. The tenets of Islam are completely opposed to individual liberty and limited government, probably one of the reasons they are importing them by the millions.
A majority would also strongly oppose the development of a mosque in their neighbourhood, the research into social attitudes found.
Almost half - 45 per cent - say they do not believe that diversity has brought benefits to the country and that religious diversity has had a negative impact.
The government-backed inquiry revealed that only one in four people in Britain feel positively about Islam.
The warnings on the extent of the divide between Muslims and much of the rest of the country come in the annual British Social Attitudes survey, produced with funding from Whitehall.Again, Islam is not supposed to mix with our 'unclean, kaffir' culture. Regardless of how many Muslims integrate, the FACT that Islam views other cultures as inferior means there will always be a very large proportion of Muslims who will not integrate.
It found that 55 per cent of people would be 'bothered' if a large mosque was built in their locality. Only 15 per cent said they would have similar qualms about a church.
Some 52 per cent think Britain is deeply divided along religious lines. The findings, following worrying signs in other government research that tension over religion is increasing, emerged in the wake of the furore over an attempt by Islamic extremists to march through Wootton Bassett.
The social attitudes survey is produced by leading academics from interviews with 4,486 people. Its findings, to be published in full later this month, will raise concern that the Government's policy of producing 'social cohesion' by backing moderate Islam and isolating extremism is not working.
Professor David Voas, who analysed the findings, said many people believe the size and nature of Britain's Muslim population presents a threat to national identity. That is people of the very real effect Islam is having on the British way of life. If it has a positive effect this wouldn't be a problem, would it? He continues by focusing on the plight of Muslims, poor things.
Professor Voas, head of population studies at Manchester University, said there was growing intolerance because of 'the degree to which Islam is perceived as a threat to social cohesion'.
He added: 'Muslims deserve to be the focus of policy on social cohesion, because no other group elicits so much disquiet. This apparent threat to national identity or even, some fear, to security, reduces the willingness of the majority to accommodate free expression. The language says it all. Muslims DESERVE to come first, the host culture must be forced to accept 'free expression' of a foreign totalitarian regime. The host culture is not allowed to have free expression in return though, that would be discrimination. They obviously view British law and culture as something inferior.
'Opinion is divided, and many people remain tolerant of unpopular speech as well as distinctive dress and religious behaviour, but a large segment of the British population is unhappy about these subcultures.'That is because a majority of Muslim immigration has been into social housing (paid for by you) into poor areas, they then segregate themselves and set up their own communities, refusing to mix with the local people, being unclean infidels and all that.
The survey said those with no educational qualifications were twice as likely to have negative attitudes towards Muslims as university graduates.
Ministers have been anxious to reduce negativity towards Muslims and minority groups among poorer and less-educated white people in recent months, fearing an election backlash from one-time core Labour voters. That is one of the reasons why the Facebook group against the Islam4UK Wolton Bassett march now has about 740,000 members.
However, the survey suggests that unhappiness over the influence of Islam has spread beyond poor white areas and now concerns a majority of people.
This isn't just about some fringe group. This is about a foreign cultural, legal and religious system that believes it should reign supreme over Britain, and a government that agrees with them.

Police databases are good for you
Hundreds of police workers have faced disciplinary action for looking at internet pornography and social networking sites, figures show.
More than 400 officers and support staff have been sacked or given warnings after being caught looking at inappropriate material online.
Officers have also been dismissed for using police databases to check out people’s backgrounds for personal reasons.
As you can guess, that last sentence is the one to pay most attention to. The more of your information, your personal data is held on external systems, the more attractive it will be to those wanting to exploit it.
This is basic nature. If you collect the slaughtered meat in one place, that is where the predators will go.

Copenhagen Has Established A World Government
Steve Watson
Prisonplanet.com
Friday, Dec 18, 2009
Amid all the mainstream media reports of the talks in Copenhagen “limping” to a close and having failed, Lord Christopher Monckton, reporting from the summit, has stated that the only goal of the conference was to implement the framework and the funding for a world government – which he asserts has been achieved.
“That is the one thing that they are definitely going to succeed in doing here and they will announce that as a victory in itself, and they will be right because that is the one and only single aim of this entire global warming conference, to establish the mechanism, the structure, and above all the funding for a world government.” the British politician, business consultant, policy adviser exclusively told the Alex Jones show yesterday.
“They are going to take from the western countries the very large financial resources required to do that.” Monckton said, adding “They will disguise it by saying they are setting up a $100 billion fund for adaptation to climate change in third world countries, but actually, this money will almost all be gobbled up by the international bureaucracy.”
“The first thing they will do, and the one thing I think they were always going to succeed in doing at this conference is to agree to establish what will be delicately called ‘the institutional framework’. Now that is a code word for world government.”
Lord Monckton explained that although the word “government” has been dropped from the treaty, all the interlocking bureaucratic features of a world government are still present in the final draft of the treaty, which also legislates for a global tax on financial transactions that will be paid directly to the World Bank.
“These are the new entities that they are going to bring into being in order to create this world government” he said.
“Ban Ki Moon, the head of the UN is clearly expecting that part of the treaty to go through because he is saying that we are going to have to set up a structure of global governance just to handle the enormous amounts of money which we are going to be getting from the countries of the West, once this agreement goes through at Copenhagen.” Monckton added
Ban Ki-moon made those comments on Wednesday in an interview with the LA Times in which he also said that a formal treaty would be signed by mid-2010.
“They are expecting to get this through,” the British peer stated, “so all the reports you see about how the parties are fatally deadlocked, China has walked out, the African countries have walked out… all of these things are the traditional window dressing to try to disarm those of us who don’t want any of this to succeed because we’d rather like to see our national sovereignty preserved.”
Monckton explained that there is still a great deal of hope in fighting the establishment of an unelected world government:
“What has been going on over the last ten days is they have been trying to see whether they can get a binding treaty, and more or less at the outset they realised they would have to abandon that because it would never pass the U.S. Senate.”
“If they call it a treaty it requires two thirds of the U.S. Senate to vote for it and there are just too many blue dog Democrats, as well as sensible Republicans, who will not vote for the destruction of the U.S. Constitution, the establishment of a world government, for the bankrupting of the United States, the destruction of working people’s jobs right across the industries of the U.S.”
“If they declare that they are going to do this and they do not have the constitutional authority to do this, and that will certainly be the case in the United States, then it is possible to fight it.” Monckton added.
Following president Obama’s announcement that he would attempt to circumvent the legislative process and bypass Congress to implement a cap and trade system on carbon emissions, Lord Monckton noted “If he tries to do that he will be impeached.”
“He had better tread very carefully indeed or he will be out of office and in prison before he knows it. There are constitutional constraints which, thank god, may yet save not only America but the rest of the world from what you rightly describe as a tyranny.”
“World government is coming because the leaders of the West have given up. They no longer care about democracy, they know longer care about the truth about the climate.” Monckton said. “They are willing to go along with this world government because they see roles for themselves in that world government in exactly the same way as the leaders of the EU did.”
“They can get more power as unelected leaders than they can at home.” Monckton added.
The British peer also spoke of the physical attacks on skeptics at Copenhagen by UN security, police and other demonstrators, adding that he himself was attacked and knocked out by a Danish police officer acting under UN authority after not allowing him access to a forum at the summit.

Britain's ethnic cleansing
More than one in 10 people living in Britain today were born abroad, a record level, new figures show.
At the same time, almost a quarter of babies born in England and Wales had foreign mothers. This is also a record, according to the Office for National Statistics. The figures indicated that, in 2008, some 11 per cent of the population was born overseas, up from about 8 per cent in 2001 and 6.7 per cent in 1991.A former government adviser recently claimed that Labour deliberately ran an open-door policy on immigration to change radically the country and “rub the Right’s nose in diversity”.
Immigration is having a double impact on population numbers because, as well as those arriving in the country, the proportion of children born here to foreign mothers has also reached a peak.
Some 24 per cent of the births in England and Wales last year — or 170,834 — were to mothers born outside the country, the highest level since records began in 1969.
Let us not forget that foreign mothers have more children than indigenous families. Two reasons, first, it's the norm in their culture and second, you pay them for it! Let us not forget that the massive burden on working people to pay for others life choices also means you cannot afford to have children yourself, thus increasing the rate of the destruction of the society responsible for 1000 years of democracy and loyalty to freedom before state.

Free market eh
Adam Posen, a member of the Bank's Monetary Policy Committee, said that the Government should consider slapping extra taxes on British properties, suggesting that in future homeowners should have to pay an extra charge if prices rise too fast. In comments which will cause extreme disquiet in the Treasury, he even indicated that this may mean imposing capital gains taxes on first homes and raising stamp duty.
The comments, in a speech at a conference in London on Tuesday, are highly unusual since MPC members generally steer well clear of comments on fiscal policy. But Mr Posen, the newest member of the nine-person committee, said that while he was "speaking solely for myself alone as an economist looking at the boom-bust problem", he felt some kind of tax penalty on house prices was an important solution to Britain's repeated housing crashes.
And there I was thinking that boom and bust was a combination of government regulation and BOE inflation and contraction of the money supply (in order to extract wealth from the population). House prices are grossly overvalued because of cheap credit and government dictating how banks lend money.
Raises demand does it not?
Demand outstrips supply and pushes up prices does it not?
If that cheap credit and dodgy loans didn't occur, demand would drop, and house prices would drop, like any other commodity in any other market in the history of trade. Then people would be able to buy homes at a sensible price. Deposits would be lower, payments would be lower, leaving people with more money to buy other things, stimulating other parts of the economy.
Well, that is what would happen in a free-market anyway...

Sweden votes no to Minarets
The UN got stuck in, attacking the Swiss for not accepting something from Islam. Fuck the UN.
Islamic states throughout the world are angry, the Swiss establishment are angry, the EU is upset, how dare those Swiss peasants have an opinion not sanctioned by the global elite!
The UN has even gone so far as to say the ban discriminates against Muslims. And what about the very core tenets of Islam itself, no discrimination there? What about the heavy restrictions or outright banning of non-Islamic religion buildings in Islamic states? What about that.
Tell you something, good on the Swiss. Fuck Islam. Until the Islamic world treats other cultures and religions with the same respect it demands from the West, they should keep their savage fucking traps shut. 'Freedom' is a two way street, bitches.
A dispatch from an occupied country
From today, as the Lisbon treaty comes into force, we are no longer masters in our own house. Our prime minister, as a member of the European Council, is obligated under this new treaty to promote the aims and objectives of the European Union, over and above those of the UK, and is bound by the rules of the Union.Welcome to the Fourth Reich comrades.
Of course, this will make no immediate difference. It simply renders de jure what has been de facto for several decades, but the coming into force of the treaty marks an important symbolic turning point. We are no longer an independent country, de jure. Our prime minister and his government are now working for an alien government, based in Brussels.
P.S. Take note that not one corporate media website has any mention of the official end of Britain as a sovereign nation, the EU as a legal entity or the fact our government is merely a proxy to impose EU directives...
I always saw the signing of the Lisbon Treaty as an Act of War against the British people...

Iran Election Protestors Sentenced To Death
Posted by JacobSloan on November 30, 2009Remember when young Iranians marched though the streets this past summer to protest Ahmadinejad’s questionable victory in the nation’s presidential election? The U.S. media has lost interest in the topic, but Al Jazeera actually still cares, and reports that some of the protesters are now being sentenced to death:
Iran has sentenced five people to death and 81 others to prison terms of up to 15 years in a mass trial of opposition figures accused of fomenting the unrest that followed June’s disputed presidential election, state television says.
Offenses includ[ed] security violations, agitating against the Islamic Republic, violating law and order, damaging public and private property, and assaulting civilians and security forces.
